Isfryn, Caernarfon

Caernarfon has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales and remains the county town of Gwynedd.

It is a very popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle and well preserved town walls being the main draw.

During the season there are regular guided tours of the castle and many special events including historic pageants. In addition, there is a station for the newly opened Welsh Highland Railway which passes through dramatic scenery. Another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, which houses many important finds. Caernarfon is near to Bethesda, where there is the famous 'Zip World' with the longest Zip line in Europe!

Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is well placed for enjoying the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia.
